Police say they've arrested a former New Jersey firefighter after finding a cache of guns and emergency response equipment in his car.
Authorities tell The Asbury Park Press they pulled over Robert Buckalew, 33, in Middletown about 2 p.m. Monday after someone reported he was trying to buy drugs.

The Middletown man was a member of the Port Monmouth Fire Department until he was dismissed in 2006. Police say he's not a member of the Middletown police force.
He's charged with drug and drug paraphernalia possession and weapons offenses.
