Authorities in Bucks County are now saying that the Monday morning shooting that resulted in injuries to police officer Jon Cousin were staged by the Chalfont officer himself, according to a report in the Bucks County Courier Times.Cousin claimed that two assailants fired at him when he pulled over their vehicle near the Lenape Valley Swim Club in Chalfont. According to the Courier Times report, Cousin was arrested today and charged with making false reports to police.
The 30-year-old officer released from Abington Memorial Hospital on Monday morning after being treated for welts, redness and bruising on his chest when a bullet lodged in his ballistic vest.
