The weather service said Doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado 15 miles north of Easton.
The National Weather Service in Mount Holly, N.J. is now calling for heavy rain and possible flooding in the region following a tornado warning issued earlier this evening for northeastern Northampton County and northern Warren County.
There were no reports of a funnel cloud, but the weather service said Doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado 15 miles north of Easton.
The service is calling for possible flooding Wednesday, and possible isolated damaging wind gusts in the afternoon.
