He was expected to speak as were some of his victims. Sandusky likely will be sentenced to spend the rest of his life in prison.
Former Penn State University assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky arrived about 8:45 this morning at the Bellefonte, Pa., courthouse for his sentencing on child sex abuse charges.
The sentencing hearing began at 9:05, according to the Patriot-News of Harrisburg.
A smiling Sandusky, accompanied by sheriff's deputies, showed up this morning wearing a red prison jumpsuit, white sneakers and holding a manila envelope. His attorney and his wife, Dottie, also have arrived.
Sandusky and at least some of his victims plan to address the judge. The 68-year-old Sandusky faces the likelihood of a sentence that will send him to state prison for the rest of his life.
Sandusky was convicted in June of abusing 10 boys over 15 years, including some attacks inside Penn State athletic facilities.
On Monday, Sandusky said he was innocent and vowed to keep fighting in a recorded statement broadcast by a student-run radio station at Penn State.
