The California-based retailer is downsizing across the country.
Clothing retailer PacSun is closing stores at Palmer Park and Phillipsburg malls as part of nationwide downsizing.Employees at the Palmer Park Mall store said closing is expected once liquidation ends, probably by the end of January. Liquidation began before Christmas.
Managers at Palmer Park and Phillipsburg malls said today their mall’s leasing departments are looking for new tenants but nothing firm is lined up.
Phillipsburg Mall General Manager Pam Richetta said the timeframe for that store's closing is not established. PacSun declined to comment on specific closings.
The Anaheim, Calif.,-based retailer announced in December it would close 175 to 200 underperforming stores over 14 months.
PacSun promotes California lifestyle clothing to young men and women, according to its website.
