Route 33 South remains closed at Saylorsburg after the crash, which involved a tractor-trailer that plowed through the guard rail and into the southbound lanes, striking three cars. There also will be intermittent closures northbound for accident reconstruction.
A fatal wreck on Route 33 in Monroe County this morning closed the highway, according to a Pocono Record report.

The northbound lanes will also be closed on and off throughout the day for accident reconstruction.
Traffic is being detoured at the Lehighton exit and is backing up into Brodheadsville, and there were reports of diesel and gas spills on the road.
