PennDOT has a message for drivers who come to traffic lights without power: Stop!
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said this afternoon that any intersection with an inoperable traffic signal should be treated as a stop-controlled intersection.
PennDOT also says a state law went into effect last month that imposes stiff penalties on drivers who ignore road-closed or other other safety warning signs and devices. Violators will have two points added to their driving records and be fined up to $250.
