The American Red Cross of the Greater Lehigh Valley will consolidate its Lehigh and Northampton County shelters 8 a.m. Friday.
The shelters at UGI, 2121 City Line Road in Bethlehem, and Ag Hall, 19th and Chew streets in Allentown, will be moved to the Dieruff High School gymnasium, 815 N. Irving St., Allentown, according to a Red Cross news release.
The shelter will be pet friendly with accessibility to limited hot water for showers, and residents are asked to bring personal toiletries and towels.
The Red Cross also announced that East Stroudsburg University's Kohler Field House, 200 Prospect St. in East Stroudsburg, will host a shelter. The shelter is FEMA managed and supported by the Red Cross.
The Red Cross is also operating a shelter at Pocono Mountain High School West, 180 Panther Lane in Monroe County.
Pleasant Valley Middle School, Route 115 in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, will host a warming station 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday. Showers are available, and people must being toiletries and towels.
