The new pool area at Mount Airy Casino Resort is to have a "lavish oasis" feel, according to Executive Vice President and General Manager John Culetsu.
The 52,000-square-foot project includes an 11,000-square-foot, four-season pool with a passage allowing guests to swim from the indoor portion of the pool to the outdoor portion, according to a news release. It features a poolside bar and lounge area with light dining and after-dark entertainment, the release says.
The pool includes private luxury cabanas with day beds and television sets, a heated spa joining the pool, water features and sculptures, and a 5,600-square-foot outdoor deck area with table-side fire pits, the release says.
“We are excited to share details of this highly anticipated project that we are sure will create the sense of a lavish oasis, even in the middle of January,” said John Culetsu, Mount Airy’s Executive Vice President and General Manager in a prepared statement.
Pending Paradise Township permit approval, the project will provide between 75 to 100 construction-related jobs, according to CECO Associates, the project’s contracted engineering firm. It will employ 20 additional full-time Mount Airy employees including food and beverage servers, maintenance workers, lifeguards and entertainment, the release says.
