Just after Superstorom Sandy, more than 100,000 JCP&L customers in the two counties were in the dark.
Power is back on to pretty much everyone in Warren and Hunterdon counties, 17 days after the restoration effort began after Superstorm Sandy struck Oct. 29.
This morning, Hunterdon County was showing 29 JCP&L customers out while Warren County had fewer than five, according to company figures. Early in the morning of Oct. 30, more than 100,000 customers were without power in the two counties.
JCP&L has said the last few days that it has all the storm outages fixed, but new issues come up in the normal business day that could lead to outages.
Those without power are asked to call JCP&L at 888-544-4877.
The final state road closed by the storm in Northampton County -- Raubsville Road between Kressman and Royal Manor roads in Williams Township -- reopened Wednesday night, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation reports. One road in Lehigh County -- Neffs Laurys Road between Scheidys and Riverview roads in North Whitehall Township -- remains closed because of a power problem, PennDOT said this morning in a news release.
