Michael B. Macy was named Embassy Bank’s vice president, commercial lending for the Lehigh Valley.

Macy has more than 22 years of local banking experience. He specializes in structuring financial instruments to enable expansion and commercial real estate acquisition for Lehigh Valley-based businesses and institutions.

A Nazareth resident, Macy serves on the boards of the Nazareth Lions Club, Easton Children’s Home, Nazareth Ambulance Corps and Nazareth YMCA. He has previously served as chairman of the Nazareth Area Chamber of Commerce and president of the Nazareth Lions Club.

Macy earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Moravian College and is a graduate of the Pennsylvania Bankers Association School of Commercial Lending at Bucknell University.

Dr. Michael Patriarco, Dr. Tirun Gopal, Dr. Sheldon Linn and Dr. David Hanes, gynecologic surgeons at St. Luke’s Hospital in Allentown, were awarded the Center of Excellence designation in minimally invasive gynecology.

The designation, awarded by the association Advancing Minimally Invasive Gynecology Worldwide and the Surgical Review Corp., signifies the surgeons have a comprehensive program that meets requirements for providing safe gynecologic surgical care. St. Luke’s Allentown also was awarded the designation for its overall gynecologic program.

Kristin Behler, of Allentown, was named health educator and certified health education specialist at Valley Preferred, a health provider organization affiliated with Lehigh Valley Health Network. She will work with Valley Preferred’s BeneFIT corporate health education and wellness program.

Behler will be responsible for implementing comprehensive worksite wellness programs to encourage healthy lifestyles and environments for clients. Behler has more than 10 years’ experience in coordinating public health education and fundraising programs.

Behler is a member of the Society for Public Health Education and its Pennsylvania chapter. She holds a master’s of public health in community health education and a bachelor’s degree in community health from East Stroudsburg University.

Jason Freeby, Timothy Clark and Robert Beatty, sales associates with Weichert Realtors, were named top associates for November.

Freeby, of the Phillipsburg office, led the company both in listings and listings sold, and led the company in resale listings. Clark, also of the Phillipsburg office, led the company in new home listings. Beatty, of the Clinton office, led the region in resale dollar volume.

Mark Mulligan, Sophie Shor and Gary Schotland were recognized by the Flemington Business Improvement District for outstanding work during the district’s founding years at a meeting at the historic courthouse on Main Street.

Mulligan, who served as chairman, was thanked by the board of directors for his significant role in developing a strong board of directors.

Shor, who served on the executive board and was chair of the events committee, was recognized for her role in the many BID-sponsored events in Flemington.

Schotland, who owns the location of the BID office and served on the organization’s quality of life committee, was recognized for his role as a board member and resolute supporter of BID projects.

Newly elected BID officers for 2013 are Bob Benjamin, president of Flemington Furs, chairman; Jim Gano, president/CEO of Crown Trophy, vice chairman; Sharon Michael, regional president of Team Capital Bank, treasurer; and Rob Bacino, president/CEO of Insight Financial, secretary.

At large officers are Robert Shore, president/CEO of SDG Security, Chris Phelan, president/CEO of Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce, and Frank Banisch, president/CEO of Banisch Associates.

Angela Russo, of Sunflower Real Estate Holdings, won the final spot on the Washington Business Improvement District’s 2013 board of directors after a runoff election for the district category of owners of assessed apartment or commercial property. Russo, who had tied with incumbent Mark Mulligan, owner of 2 W. Washington and 37-39 Belvidere Ave., was declared the winner on Dec. 6.

Other new members of the board are Monika Hamburger, owner of ComforCare, business owners who own their own property category; Marian Bredin, long-time WBID executive board member and owner of Good Impressions Printing and Jeff Smith of Smith Motors, business operators at-large category; and Beth Lambert, of Herbalist & Alchemist Inc., in the category business owners who are tenants in the assessed property bracket.

Michael J. Fischer, president and CEO of Client 1st Financial LLC in Upper Macungie Township, was named a Melvin Jones Fellow by the Lions Clubs International Foundation.

Fischer was recognized for his commitment to humanitarian service. Named for the founder of Lions Clubs International, Melvin Jones, the fellowship is the foundation’s highest honor.

Fischer is a member of the Lions Club in Kutztown, Pa., where he was recently honored for dedication to the foundation’s humanitarian goals with a plaque and lapel pin.

Lions Clubs International is the world’s largest service club organization with nearly 1.3 million members.

Bruce Gage, Bethe Frazer and Lisa Ellis, sales associates with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Hunterdon County, were listed among the company’s 2012 top 50 agents year-to-date through September.

Gage, of the Flemington office, was No. 32 in both sales and units sold. Frazer, of the Clinton office, was No. 23 in units sold. Ellis, also of the Clinton office, was No. 38 in units sold.

Ronald Gutkin, Alan Hubbard and Karen Koerner, Warren County real estate agents, were awarded the Realtor Emeritus designation by the New Jersey Association of Realtors during an awards ceremony Dec. 4 at the Triple Play Realtor Convention and Trade Expo in Atlantic City. The designation recognizes 40 years of membership in the organization.

Gutkin is an agent with Experient Realty in Hackettstown. Hubbard is a Realtor with RE/MAX House Values 4 in Hackettstown. Koerner is a Realtor with Sig Kuhne Realty in Washington.

The New Jersey Association of Realtors is a nonprofit trade group that represents about 43,000 Realtors and Realtor associates in the state.
