The Intelligencer of Doylestown reports the name is a source of “constant jokes” around the holidays. The Christmas family lives just outside Philadelphia.
Stacey Christmas says it can be difficult to use her credit card, because cashiers often look at her last name and think the card is fraudulent. Mrs. Christmas carries several forms of identification as a precaution.
The couple says they love the name but were careful not to name their children Mary, Eva or Nicholas.
They also say neighbors are sometimes confused by other invitations, such as one that said “The Christmases are hosting a Halloween party.”
