The agreement covers patients at two Coordinated Health hospitals in South Whitehall and Bethlehem townships.
Coordinated Health and Highmark Inc. have agreed on a new contract covering patients at Coordinated Health hospitals in South Whitehall and Bethlehem townships.
The new contract began Tuesday, according to a news release today. The sides said they agreed to a multi-year deal but did not specify the time frame.
"Highmark is a dominant insurance carrier in the region and we are very pleased to continue to have their members use our hospitals,” Coordinated Health CEO Dr. Emil Dilorio said in a statement.
Coordinated Health specializes in four practice areas: orthopedics and musculoskeletal care, cardiology, women’s health, and primary care.
“It is important for our thousands of Highmark members in the Lehigh Valley to have access to these hospitals," said Matthew Vogel, Highmark Blue Shield vice president of provider contracting and relations.
