Hackettstown officials last week celebrated the grand opening of a new Liberty Tax office at 150 Mountain Ave., according to a news release.
The business first started franchising in 1997 and bills itself as having prepared more than 10 million individual income tax returns to date.
The Hackettstown office will be open seven days a week and welcomes walk-ins, drop-offs and appointments, the news release says. It will be managed by Bernice R. Will, who has more than 30 years of experience in the tax profession, the release says.

National Penn Bancshares, Inc. has donated $34,000 to the Community Action Committee of the Lehigh Valley, a non-profit group that in part advocates for the poor, the bank announced last week.
A portion of the donation will go to the Sixth Street Shelter in Allentown, a news release says.
National Penn owns branches in the Lehigh Valley and is moving its headquarters to from Boyertown, Pa., to Allentown. The future headquarters, being built in the city’s downtown at the future Two City Center building, is projected to employ 275.

Several Lehigh Valley businesses have been awarded state grants to help them become more energy efficient, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.
The DEP announced the grants Wednesday. The grant program targets small businesses and is funded through the Hazardous Sites Cleanup Act.
The following Lehigh County businesses received money: Hertz Associates, Inc. ($6,500), Lynar Corp. ($7,147) and Sellair LLC ($9,500).
In Northampton County, Nazareth Mutual Insurance Co. and Tower Products, Inc. both received $9,500.
