SATURDAY

11 a.m.

Alburtis lifted its snow emergency as of 8:30 a.m.

9:30 a.m.

Hellertown's snow emergency has been lifted.


FRIDAY

6:47 p.m.

Zoellner Arts Center is postponing the Lehigh Glee Club and Dolce: The Light Fantastic that was scheduled for this evening. All tickets will be honored for an 8 p.m. March 1 performance, according to a news release.

6 p.m.

The pork and sauerkraut dinner scheduled for tonight at Jordan UCC, 1837 Church Road in Allentown, has been rescheduled for Friday, Feb. 15. Contact the church office at 610-395-2218 for more information, especially if you purchased tickets ahead of time.

4:48 p.m.

All LANtaBus and LANtaVan paratransit service will be suspended at 8 p.m. Friday. Normal service will resume at 8 a.m. Saturday, however, delays may occur or detours may be necessary depending upon road conditions.

3:10 p.m.

The BEST group has postponed its annual Tricky Tray. It is now scheduled for 8 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16 at the Applebee's on Route 248 in Easton.

1:42 p.m.

The Hackettstown Municipal Building has closed for the day, town police report.

12:30 p.m.

Raritan Valley Community College will close at 3 p.m. today and will remain closed on Saturday. All classes starting today at 2 p.m. or later are cancelled. Classes and events at all college locations, including the Bridgewater campus, located at 14 Vogt Drive, are cancelled.

12:26 p.m.

East Stroudsburg University has cancelled all classes starting at 1 p.m. today.

12:10 p.m.

Pen Argyl police announced via their official Twitter account that the borough will be under a snow emergency starting at 4 p.m. today until further notice. They ask residents to remove their vehicles from snow emergency routes.

11:44 a.m.

All after-school and evening activities, as well as athletic events, in the Easton Area School District are canceled. All district offices will close at 1:10 p.m. today. (Students had a previously scheduled day off today because of a teacher in-service day).

11:43 a.m.

The Sevendust concert scheduled for tonight at Crocodile Rock Cafe in Allentown has been postponed due to the snowstorm, according to a news release. A new date has not been announced.

11:26 a.m.

The 2013 Darwin Day Lecture at Cedar Crest College, scheduled for Saturday in the Samuels Theatre in the Tompkins College Center, has been postponed. A new date has yet to be set, the college said in a news release.

Alburtis' snow emergency starts at 3 this afternoon.

Parkland high and middle schools will dismiss at noon today and the elementary schools will dismiss at 12:45. There will be no afternoon kindergarten.

11:03 a.m.

Bethlehem 's public works department thinks they can weather this storm as long as snow predictions stay where they are. Public Works Director Michael Alkhal said the city is pouring brine mixtures on the roads in preparation for accumulation.

But if the predictions of six to eight inches stick, Alkhal doesn't foresee drastic measures like declaring a snow emergency, which would limit parking on certain city streets.

"If it goes north of that prediction, we might have to do something," Alkhal said. "They seem to be hedging their bets with this storm. So we'll be watching it closely."

10:55 a.m.

Hellertown's snow emergency starts at 4 o'clock today and runs until further notice. Click here for the list of roads impacted by the announcement.

The East Penn School District is dismissing middle schools at 11 o'clock, the high school at 12:45 and elementary schools at 1:45.

Southern Lehigh School District secondary schools are dismissing at noon, with elementary schools shutting at 1. There's no afternoon kindergarten.

Salisbury high and middle schools will shut at 12:15 and the district's elementary schools at 1 o'clock.

Pen Argyl Area High School and the district's elementary schools will dismiss at noon and the middle school will let out at 12:45.

Roseto's snow emergency runs noon today until noon Saturday.

10:39 a.m.

"Mob Wives" star Ramona Rizzo's appearance tonight at Vision Bar inside the Sands Bethlehem Event Center has been postponed, according to the event center's website. A makeup date has not been announced.

10:33 a.m.

The Bethlehem Area School District is closing two hours early, with high schools being dismissed at 12:25, middle school students at 1 o'clock and elementary schools at 1:25, according to the district's website. Child care will remain open.

10:31 a.m.

The Allentown School District is closing two hours early.

Bangor Area School District secondary schools shut at 10:30 and the elementary schools will let out at 11:30.

10:07 a.m.

The Lehigh Valley International Airport is already reporting some delays and cancellations ahead of the snowstorm.

Susan Kittle, director of external affairs at the airport, said crews are monitoring runways for any snow accumulation.

"We're making sure the runways are maintained and all set for heavy snow if we do get that," Kittle said.

Flights arriving from Chicago, Detroit and Atlanta have been cancelled so far, but Kittle said there could be more. She advises anyone headed to the airport today to check the live website for arrivals and departures in case of any changes.

9:59 a.m.

Wellness Rocks! class is canceled tonight in Clinton.

9:54 a.m.

The Warren County freeholders Saturday budget session has been pushed back to 9 a.m. Feb. 16 at the Wayne Dumont Jr. Administration Building in White Township.

9:33 a.m.

Northampton Area schools will close early today. The high school and middle school get  out at noon and the elementary schools exit at 12:45

9:31 a.m.

Bath's snow emergency will remain in place until 6 p.m. Saturday.

Bushkill Township's snow emergency is until 6 p.m. Saturday.

South Whitehall Township's snow emergency begins at noon and stays in effect until 6 p.m. Saturday

9:17 a.m.

The Nazareth Area School District will dismiss early, according to a message from this district. Lunch will not be served. The elementary schools will dismiss at 11, the middle school at 11:07, the high school at 11:30 and intermediate school at 12:10.

8:48 a.m.

Easton will go into a snow emergency from 8 tonight until 1 Saturday afternoon, Mayor Sal Panto Jr. said this morning. Cars will have to be off snow emergency routes during that time and the parking garage at South Third and Ferry streets will be open and free to people who want to park during the emergency. The gate will go up at 6 if people want to get off the streets early, Panto said.

Palmer Township's emergency is in place until 6 p.m. Saturday. There is an ordinance prohibiting parking on any state highway or township road when the depth of snow exceeds 3 inches. Parking is prohibited for the duration of the storm until snow has been cleared from the streets.

Lehigh Township's emergency begins at noon.

Tatamy's snow emergency begins at 6 tonight and will be in place until further notice.

Allen Township's emergency starts at 3 this afternoon.

7:40 a.m.

Northampton County schools are having delays or haven't announced any changes yet. Bethlehem Township, Pa., has declared a snow emergency and is starting at 8 a.m. Hanover Township also had a delay. Bethlehem and Nazareth appear to have regular schedules, but they later announced an early dismissal.

7:30 a.m.

Hackettstown has suspended overnight parking tonight, Saturday and Sunday for municipal streets or lots.

7:00 a.m.

Several Warren County schools -- including Hackettstown, Phillipsburg, Belvidere, Alpha, and Warren Hills Regional -- are closed today. Hunterdon County schools, such as Delaware Valley Regional School District, are having an early dismissal. 

THURSDAY

7:40 p.m.

The Easton Farmers’ Market Winter Mart on Saturday at Nurture Nature Center has been canceled due to the impending snowstorm. The market will reopen at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16.

5 p.m.

"Scooby-Doo Live! Musical Mysteries" postponed to Saturday

4:52 p.m.

The 29th annual Lehigh Valley Mathcounts competition has been postponed to Sunday, February 10 due to the forecast of heavy snow.

Students will take written tests from 9:15 a.m. until 11:45 in the gymnasium of Trexler Middle School, 851 N. 15th Street, Allentown. The top ten scoring students will face off in the Countdown Round, a “Jeopardy” style oral competition, at 1 p.m. in the school auditorium.

4:50 p.m.

The Sound Prints concert scheduled for Friday at the Williams Center for the Arts at Lafayette College in Easton has been canceled. Tickets will be refunded.

Ticket holders may contact the Williams Center box office at 610-330-5009.

4:38 p.m.

Hanover Township, Northampton County has declared a snow emergency from 6 a.m. Friday to 6 p.m. Saturday.

Any vehicles parked on township streets will be ticketed or towed at the owner's expense. If you have any questions about the snow declaration, contact Public Works Director Vincent G. Milite at 610-866-1140, extension 227.

4:10 p.m.

Plunge for a Purpose in Lower Nazareth Township is postponed until April 13.

2:21 p.m.

Easton Area High School's mini-THON delayed until Saturday.
