Slippery roads for morning commute, some schools have delayed opening

Temperatures will steadily rise into the mid-40s, and rain is expected to continue throughout the afternoon.

Freezing rain that made for some slippery roads across the Lehigh Valley this morning is already on its way out, although a winter weather advisory remains in effect until 9 o'clock.

But don't expect to see the sun today. While temperatures will creep up to the mid-40s, the forecast calls for rain off and on throughout the afternoon, according to AccuWeather. The remainder of the week will bring brighter skies and temperatures in the mid-low 30s.
