Pennsylvania State Police say they know the perpetrator, who fled in an unknown direction.
Authorities say they know who took $55,000 in blackjack chips from a dealer today at a Bucks County casino.
The thief is known to the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Gaming Enforcement at Parx Casino in Bensalem Township, Pa, according to a news release but the person is not identified.
About 3:15 this afternoon, the thief was seated at a blackjack table and reached into the dealer's chip tray to remove 11 $5,000 chips, the bureau reports.
The thief left the casino and into a waiting vehicle described as a light-colored, possibly gray, small SUV and left in an unknown direction.
The bureau says it is "actively investigating the theft."
Efforts to reach investigators for more information tonight were unsuccessful.
