Parx Casino blackjack theft suspect arrested, Pennsylvania State Police say

The New York City man allegedly stole $55,000 in blackjack chips, which have been recovered.

Blackjack View full size Authorities made an arrest in the theft of $55,000 in blackjack chips from Parx Casino in Bensalem Township, Bucks County.  
A New York City man suspected of stealing $55,000 in blackjack chips Tuesday from Parx Casino was arrested when he returned to the casino, Pennsylvania State Police said today.

State police investigators indicated Tuesday they knew the identity of the thief, named in a news release today as David J. Blatt, 41, of Brooklyn.

Police said he was arrested without incident at Parx Casino in Bensalem Township, Pa., and that all the chips were recovered.

Blatt was arraigned on charges of theft and receiving stolen property and sent to the Bucks County Prison in lieu of 10 percent of $75,000 bail.

Blatt allegedly was sitting about 3:15 p.m. Tuesday at a blackjack table when he reached into the dealer's chip tray and removed 11 $5,000 chips.
