WeatherWorks says cold, stormy weather will extend well into March.
Freezing rain forecast to start tonight will leave any untreated surfaces icy through most of Saturday morning, the National Weather Service says.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 7 tonight to 10 a.m. Saturday for Lehigh, Northampton and Warren counties.
A wintry mix with the potential for snow, sleet and freezing rain should begin between 6 and 9 p.m.
Hackettstown-based WeatherWorks, in an advisory Thursday night, said the current busy pattern of storms every few days is expected to continue well into March.
And with cold air a feature of the pattern, the potential remains for a significant winter storm, WeatherWorks says.
Ice should accumulate less than a tenth of an inch and snowfall should be less than half an inch, that weather service says.
The overnight low should be 29, with Saturday's high at 43. Rain is expected overnight Saturday into Sunday morning, with the low touching freezing at 32.
