Winter's last gasp? Spring arrives Wednesday.
The National Weather Service forecasts 1 to 2 inches of snow Monday before a changeover brings sleet and freezing rain Monday night.
More snow is possible in higher elevations, according to the service's hazardous weather outlook posted this afternoon for Lehigh, Northampton and Warren counties.
Untreated surfaces could see 1⁄10 of an inch of glaze Monday night.
"That would like a coating of ice," weather service meteorologist Valerie Meola said this afternoon. "Any time there's a chance of freezing rain, your driving conditions can be slippery and more difficult to navigate."
Spring arrives 7:02 a.m. Wednesday.
