He was passionate about trains.
Dr. Charles Fisher Snyder, Jr., 91, of Bethlehem, died Tuesday.
He graduated in 1943 from Franklin & Marshall College and received his medical degree in 1946 from the University of Pennsylvania.
He served from 1943-52 in the United States Army and was a battalion commander from 1950-52 in the 25th Medical Battalion in the Korean War.
He began to practice medicine in Reading, and eventually moved to Bethlehem where he had a private practice and performed surgery at St. Luke's Hospital.
Charles was passionate about trains. He was most at home traveling on trains, photographing trains and building model trains.
