For 57 years he worked in the iron foundry at Ingersoll Rand.
Nicholas R. Scerbo Sr., 88, of Saylorsburg, passed away Sunday at the VNA Hospice House of Monroe County in East Stroudsburg.
Nicholas and his late wife owned and operated the Scerbo Cottages and the Sunoco Gas Station for more than 30 years in Saylorsburg. Nicholas also worked for 57 years as a foreman of the iron foundry for Ingersoll Rand in Phillipsburg.
He served in the United States Navy during World War II, and was decorated with two bronze stars.
