An Allentown man and a Queens, N.Y. woman made their first appearances in New Jersey Superior Court in Belvidere today after police say they purchased over $2,000 in goods from a Greenwich Township store using counterfeit money.Police say Akome Blair, 25, of the 2100 block of South Ninth Street in Allentown, and Quinetta Kersey, 32, of Queens, N.Y., conspired to purchase over $2,000 combined in merchandise from the Greenwich Township Target on two separate occasions this month.
On trips to the store on May 18 and May 25, Blair purchased an Apple iPad, router, breast pump, car seat and baby monitor worth over $1,400 combined, police said.
Kersey allegedly purchased two Apple iPads, headphones, head wrap, a router, a protective screen case and hair bows worth over $750 combined on a trip to the store May 25.
Bail has been set for both Blair and Kersey at $40,000 each.
