Crayola is offering a "freshly squeezed" twist on its eight-pack of crayons to celebrate the 110th anniversary of the first box of crayons.
Back in 1903, Crayola introduced the first box of eight crayons. As part of the anniversary celebration, the company asked consumers to create bright new nicknames for each of the original colors.
The winning names are now featured in a limited edition 1903-style Crayola crayon pack, which is being sold exclusively on Crayola’s Facebook page. The cost is $4.99 a pack.
Below are the eight original color names and new nicknames chosen for the special limited edition pack:
• Red – Ladybug
• Orange – Freshly Squeezed
• Yellow – Sunny Side Up
• Green – Jalapeño
• Blue – BeYOUtiful Blue
• Purple – Peace, Love & Purple
• Brown – Freckle
• Black – Night Owl
