The 21-year-old Lafayette College student received three years of probation for sending sexually explicit images to a 14-year-old boy.
A Bethlehem man who had inappropriate sexual contact with a boy he met on the Internet will receive no time in prison.
Alexander Clow, 21, was sentenced to three years of probation today for sending sexually explicit messages and photos to a 14-year-old boy on the website chatroulette.com.
Clow interacted with the boy, who was from Oklahoma, during an online meeting in July 2001, but did not meet him in person, authorities previously said.
Clow, of the 1300 block of Shelbourne Drive, was a Lafayette College student at the time, and was aware of the victim's age, police said.
He pleaded guilty in January to two counts of corruption of minors, according to court records. Other charges were dropped as a result, including unlawful contact with a minor, a third degree felony.
The parents of the juvenile in Oklahoma notified police about the interactions between their son and Clow after finding an exchange between the two on the teenager’s iPod Touch, according to court records.
When Clow was being questioned in that case, police said he also revealed he had engaged in sexual conduct with a 16-year-old boy that he also met online, authorities said. The 16-year-old lived locally, and the two met at the South Mall in Salisbury Township before going to the victim's home for sex, police previously said.
Clow's attorney, Christopher Spadoni, declined to comment about the sentencing today.
Clow was sentenced in Allentown today by Lehigh County Judge Robert Steinberg. He will also pay a fine of $1,000 or perform 50 hours of community service, according to court documents.
