Police say a man apparently answering an advertisement on a social media site for sale of an all-terrain vehicle was shot and killed in north Philadelphia.
A police spokeswoman said initial information indicates that the 27-year-old New Jersey man and two other people were in West Oak Lane on Friday night answering a Craigslist ad for an ATV.
Witnesses said the victim talked with a man who told him to walk around to look at the four-wheeler, and they lost sight of him down the street — then heard two gunshots shortly afterward.
Officers found the victim on the street with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the left side of his face, and emergency responders pronounced him dead at 11:23 p.m. Friday. No arrests have been reported.
