The program by Brown Daub charities will kick off in July.
Brown Daub Charities is branching out.
The charitable arm of the Brown Daub auto dealerships is launching a new program -- one that will allocate a portion of proceeds from every vehicle sold to local charities.
But first, the dealership group is looking for nonprofit groups and agencies to assist.
"We are very excited to be able to give back to the local community that has supported our business for the past 77 years," said Thomas A. Daub, a third-generation operator of the auto sales group. "Brown Daub Charities has been supporting nonprofits in the Lehigh Valley for many years and this is just a natural extension of our commitment to giving back."
Starting in July, the company said, Brown Daub will donate directly to a local charity each month. Nonprofit organizations can apply for a grant online at the newly launched www.browndaubcharities.com.
Applications will be reviewed by a committee and a recipient will be announced monthly, Daub said.
The Brown Daub family of dealerships was founded in 1936 and has grown to include Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, Chevrolet, Volvo, Fiat, Kia and thousands of pre-owned vehicles. The dealerships also maintain service centers and body shops throughout the Lehigh Valley.
