Night work is set to begin 10 p.m. Aug. 20 and end around 6 a.m. Aug. 21.

Travelers can expect night work next week at Routes 22 and 145, which will close off the existing Route 22 east ramp to Route 145 north, according to a news release from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

The lane restrictions had originally been scheduled for Monday and Tuesday will now occur Aug. 20 and 21. The restrictions will begin at 10 p.m. Aug. 20 and last through 6 a.m. Aug. 21, according to the release.

Lane restrictions will occur in both directions on Route 22, between 15th Street and Fullerton Avenue, according to the release.

The Route 22 east ramp to Route 145 North will be closed and all eastbound Route 22 traffic will use the same ramp to access Route 145 in both directions, according to the release.

This will be the permanent way for Route 22 east traffic to access Route 145, according to the release.

Restrictions going northbound on Route 145 will occur between Grape Street and Fairmont Avenue while workers shift the travel lanes from their current location on the eastern sides of the bridge, to the new section at the center of the bridge, according to the release.

The restrictions will allow workers to safely move concrete barriers, paint lines and put in place new travel lane configurations as the project enters the fourth of five phases, according to the release.
