Dr. Jadd W. Koury opened a new practice in the Easton area, Koury Colorectal Associates P.C.

Koury is a colon and rectal surgeon who specializes in minimally invasive and laparoscopic surgery. He is experienced in elective surgery to correct disorders of the gastrointestinal tract. Koury Colorectal Associates also provides screening and diagnostic colonoscopies.

Koury performs procedures at several Lehigh Valley hospitals including the Fountain Hill and Bethlehem Township campuses of St. Luke’s University Health network and Easton Hospital.

In addition to his general surgery residency, Koury has completed an advanced laparoscopic gastrointestinal surgery fellowship at George Washington University and a colon and rectal surgery fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University.

Thomas A. Capehart, Kimberly A. Spotts-Kimmel and Loren L. Speziale, attorneys with Gross McGinley LLP in Allentown, were elected to serve on the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce. They will serve on chamber boards in their local communities.

Capehart, of Emmaus, will serve on the board of the East Penn Chamber of Commerce. In his law practice, he provides residential and commercial real estate services and general legal services to small and medium-sized businesses. Capehart also represents several local and regional banks in real estate matters.

Spotts-Kimmel will serve on the board of the Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce. In her law practice, she counsels businesses on the legal aspects of Internet law. She also counsels clients on transactional matters including intellectual property, advertising and media law matters and offers legal counseling on general business matters, contract negotiations and disputes, including employment issues.

Speziale will serve on the board of the Easton Chamber of Commerce. Based in the firm’s Easton office, she represents private and public corporations, privately held businesses, financial institutions and individuals in transactional and litigation matters involving commercial and real property disputes, breach of contract claims and employment-related actions.

Pamela Wallace was named coordinator of Allentown-based Valley Youth House program Project Child. Project Child’s mission is to prevent child abuse and neglect in the Lehigh Valley.

The program conducts parenting classes, provides a parent support tree, provides a weekly column on parenting to The Morning Call newspaper and conducts professional and community education sessions.

Project Child works with Lehigh County Children & Youth Services, Northampton County Children, Youth & Families, Community Services for Children, the Northampton County Office of Drug & Alcohol Abuse and Child Care Information Services.

Wallace has served as co-founder and executive producer of Barlieb Wallace Productions, a Lehigh Valley video production company that has produced videos for public and nonprofit agencies including the Allentown and Bethlehem health bureaus, Lehigh and Northampton County child welfare services, PA Shakespeare Festival, Lehigh Valley Hospital and Headstart of LV/CSC.

She is also co-founder of local theatrical company Crowded Kitchen Players. She has also taught at Lehigh Carbon Intermediate Unit, and she was a former reporter at the Bethlehem Press. She has served on the Board of The Theatre Outlet, the Program for Women & Families and the Borough Council of Alburtis.

Wallace earned a bachelor’s degree from Cedar Crest College.
