The changes mean some wine and spirits shops will be open until 10 p.m.
The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board is expanding hours starting today at more than 100 wine and spirits shops statewide, including six stores in Lehigh County and four in Northampton County.
Two of the stores in Lehigh County will be open until 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
The liquor control board said the changes are being made to meet consumer demand. It means some stores will open as much as two hours earlier than before and others will stay open as much as to two hours later.
Affected stores in Lehigh County and their expanded hours are:
- 5041 Route 873, Schnecksville, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.
- 333 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., Allentown, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.
- 1604 S. Fourth St., Allentown, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.
- 2289 Schoenersville Road, Bethlehem, 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
- 6900 Hamilton Blvd., Trexlertown, 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
- 3060 Center Valley Parkway, U. Saucon Twp., 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
Affected stores in Northampton County and their expanded hours are:
- Hellertown Marketplace, 1848 Leithsville Road, Lower Saucon Township, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.
- Bethlehem Square Shopping Center, 3926 Linden St., Bethlehem, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.
- 30 E. 4th St., Bethlehem, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.
- Forks Town Center, 341 Town Center Blvd., Forks Township, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.
The liquor control board said it regularly analyzes store operations, including staffing levels and hours.
