The Bethlehem casino has the most tables and the most table game revenue of all 12 Pennsylvania casinos.
Table games revenue at Pennsylvania's 12 casinos increased 6.1 percent in August compared to a year ago, including 3.7 percent growth at Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem, state data show.
In all, revenue from table games play was $63.5 million in August, according to a report released today by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
With 183 tables, the Bethlehem casino has the most of any gaming site in Pennsylvania and its monthly revenue is No. 1 in the state.
Its tables took in $14,709,702 last month compared to $14,183,868 in August 2012. Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem added 31 tables in the ensuing year.
The monthly report, posted on the gaming control board's website, www.gamingcontrolboard.pa.gov, also shows $9.1 million in tax revenue was generated last month from table games.
Coupled with figures on slot machine revenue released earlier this month, overall gross revenue from slots and tables shrank $1.5 million this August compared to August 2012. Revenue from all casino gaming was $268,905,470 this August compared to $270,445,771 in August 2012.
