A 45-year-old man was pronounced dead after the crash early this morning.
A Monroe County man was pronounced dead after his car crashed into a tree and caught fire this morning in the county, authorities said.
Patrick Kane, 45, of Canadensis, was trapped in the burning vehicle, Coroner Bob Allen said in a news release.
He was pronounced dead at 12:55 a.m. at the crash along Route 447 in Price Township, Allen said. The cause and manner of death are pending an autopsy scheduled Thursday.
Kane was driving north when his car left the road and struck the tree, according to Allen's office.
