Attorneys Charles J. Fonzone and his associate, Christopher Gittinger, have joined Allentown law firm Gross McGinley LLP.
Fonzone has practiced law in Allentown for more than 40 years in the areas of insurance defense, civil litigation and municipal law. He was formerly a partner with law firm Fonzone & Ashley.
He has served as solicitor to several Lehigh Valley municipalities for over 38 years providing general counsel on zoning, land development and matters related to local water and electric utilities. Fonzone has served courts and private litigants as an independent arbitrator.
Fonzone earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Lehigh University and a law degree from Duquesne University School of Law.
Gittinger concentrates his practice on insurance defense and municipal law. He represents insurance carriers and provides counsel to many local municipalities on zoning and land use.
He last served with Fonzone & Ashley. He serves on the board of governors for the East Side Youth Center of Allentown. He earned his B.S. from Tufts University in 1981 and his J.D. from Dickinson School of Law
Gittinger earned a bachelor’s degree from Tufts University and a law degree from the Dickinson School of Law.

Matthew Mobilio, attorney with Norris McLaughlin & Marcus P.A., has been elected to the board of directors of the Lehigh County Senior Center. He will help the center expand its mission and provide more informational services to its members.
Mobilio, of Macungie, is experienced in defending clients involved in casualty and medical malpractice cases and civil litigation at trial and in mediation and arbitration. He served as law clerk to the Hon. Richard A. Gray, of Lycoming County, from 2008 to 2009.
He is a member of the Donald E. Wieand Barristers Inn of Court, a former member of the Charles F. Greevy Inn of Court and the board of directors of Greater Lycoming Habitat for Humanity. He was awarded the Lycoming County Pro Bono Fair Share Award in 2010 and 2011 and the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Award for Excellence in Advocacy and the Certificate in Dispute Resolution and Trial Advocacy in 2008.
Mobilio earned a bachelor’s degree in communications/advertising from Penn State University and a law degree from the Penn State University Dickinson School of Law.

Matt Lang, assistant professor of computer science at Moravian College since 2009, has joined multinational corporation Google Inc. in California as a software engineer.
Lang will finish instructing his fall semester courses remotely through online chats. He also plans to return in early December to see one course’s work on display at the Da Vinci Science Center in Allentown.

The following area residents were honored for years of service at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, N.J., during an awards ceremony held Nov. 6.
Adrienne Carr, of Clinton Township, associate director for compliance and head coach women's lacrosse, Athletics Administration Division III, was recognized for 10 years of service at the college’s Florham campus.
Colleen Di Gregorio, of Hackettstown, assistant to the executive dean, School of Pharmacy at Florham, was recognized for 10 years of service.
Stephen Antonio, of Bloomsbury, video/electric/computer graphics specialist, was recognized for 20 years of service at the Florham campus.
Daniel Calcagnetti, of Bethlehem, associate professor, psychology and counseling at Florham, was recognized for 20 years of service.
Hania Ferrara, of Blairstown Township, senior vice president and chief operating officer, was recognized for 20 years of service at the Madison campus.
