It isn't snowing yet in Easton. But give it a few hours, the National Weather Service says in its most recent alert.
"Snow is anticipated to overspread the area by mid morning and continue through the evening," the alert from 3:50 a.m. says.

According to AccuWeather, "The only thing that will prevent this storm from delivering a large swath of 2 to 3 feet of snow will be its relatively fast movement."
Making things nastier, the snow should mix with sleet and freezing rain at some point.
A winter storm warning is in effect for Northampton, Lehigh, Hunterdon and Warren counties until 5 a.m. Sunday. On the plus side, from Sunday through Thursday, "the probability for widespread hazardous weather is low."
Many communities have begun declaring snow emergencies. Macungie's will be in effect from 3 p.m. today till 7 a.m. Sunday, according to the police department, which is asking residents to obey parking restrictions.
Alburtis will have its in effect from noon today until further notice. All vehicles should be removed from snow emergency routes.
