A handful of schools across the Lehigh Valley and northwest New Jersey will open 90 minutes to two hours late.
Easton Area School District will open two hours late Wednesday due to the weather, according to the district website.
Bethlehem Area School District will also open two hours late, according to its website.
Morning kindergarten is canceled for Easton Area schools. Bethlehem Area kindergarten will run on a modified schedule.
Easton Area and Bethlehem Area schools were closed today, as were most schools in the Lehigh Valley and northwest New Jersey due to snow.
A 90-minute delay is scheduled for the Alpha Public School, Greenwich Township School District and the Saint Philip and James School in Phillipsburg and the Phillipsburg School District.
Two-hour delays are on tap for the Belvidere School District; Bethlehem Catholic High School; Harmony Township School; Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts; Moravian Academy and Notre Dame High School of Bethlehem Township, Pa.
Lopatcong Township schools will open late, although the district website does not specify when schools will open.
The National Weather Service issued a special weather statement at 9 p.m. warning of stretches of slippery pavement and black ice overnight in Lehigh and Northampton counties in Pennsylvania and Warren and Hunterdon counties in New Jersey.
The forecast calls for sunny skies by midday Wednesday with a high of 34 degrees.
