Monroe County Coroner Bob Allen said the body matches a physical description of homeowner Robert Colthirst, the Pocono Record reports.
Police say they believe a fatal car fire and a house explosion in Monroe County are related.Authorities haven't identified the body found inside the burning car early Monday morning but the car is registered to the address of the home that burned at right around the same time.
The Pocono Record reports the home that burned in Coolbaugh Township was under foreclosure and the man living there was scheduled to be evicted from the house later in the day. The Monroe County Coroner's Office says it appears some kind of accelerant was used to set the car on fire. Forensic investigators are analyzing both fires.
