Freezing rain is expected today and heavy rain is in the forecast for Saturday as the temperature rises to 58 degrees, the weather service says.
"A part" of the Lehigh River ice jam "was still in place" early this morning in West Easton, the National Weather Service reports in an update just before 3 o'clock.
The river, which was flooding Wednesday night, "has receded," the weather service said, but ice is still covering the river upsteam from the jam.
Part of Lehigh Drive has reopened.
Temperatures at 6 o'clock remained well below freezing, but it is expected to surpass 32 degrees before noon and top out at 37, the weather service said. A flood warning remains in place until 10:45 this morning, the weather service said.
