Pennsylvania State Police at Belfast believe it came down on the New Jersey side, and Holland Township police did not provide any information.

Pennsylvania State Police at Dublin have called off their search for a plane that may have crashed just after 5 p.m. in the Delaware River.

A trooper said Pennsylvania authorities believe the small ultralight plane reported down ended up somewhere on the New Jersey side of the river. They didn't recover anything and suspect the pilot pulled it out himself, he said.

The search's initial focus was in the 1900 block of River Road in Bridgeton Township.

New Jersey State Police at Kingwood Township said Holland Township Police are handling the matter. An officer who answered the phone at Holland Township said he couldn't comment.
