A member of the California University of Pennsylvania board of trustees says the president of the school has been fired.State Rep. Peter J. Daley says he was told Wednesday evening that Angelo Armenti Jr. was forced out by the State System of Higher Education Board of Governors, which oversees state universities.
The university confirms the report on its website.
The change comes three months after the state launched an investigative audit into spending at the school, the results of which have yet to be made public.
University spokeswoman Christine Kindl did not immediately return messages seeking comment.
