Authorities in eastern Pennsylvania are investigating the shooting deaths of a man and woman over the weekend as an apparent murder-suicide.

Investigators said they believe the man shot his wife and then turned the gun on himself. They said two of the couple’s children discovered the bodies.
Lt. Robert Bartal of the state police barracks in Hazleton told reporters that investigators would be talking to relatives and co-workers, but “everything indicates it’s going to be murder-suicide.”
Friends told reporters that the two were divorcing after nine years of marriage.
