Lehigh Valley eighth-grader Naomi Li was competing this morning at the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C.Li, a Southern Lehigh Middle School student from Upper Saucon Township, was among 278 participants from across the nation.
Today's preliminary rounds are being streamed live on espn3.com.
This is Li's second trip to the national bee. She earned this year's visit by winning the Regional Final of the Scripps National Spelling Bee sponsored by The Express-Times and lehighvalleylive.com.
