Most Lehigh Valley, northwest New Jersey power outages cleared

More than 3,300 residents were without power in the wake of Tuesday night's storms.

Gallery previewAside from lingering outages in the Slate Belt, homes and businesses that lost power in Tuesday night's strong storms saw service restored today, power company representatives said.

PPL Electric Utilities tonight is reporting just one outage in Lehigh and Northampton counties, in Lehigh's Heidelberg Township.

Jersey Central Power & Light says all Warren and Hunterdon county properties have service.

"We didn't really have a lot in Warren and Hunterdon," utility spokesman Stan Prater said tonight. "It was really just scattered outages."
Hardest hit in JCP&L's territory was Chester and Washington Township in Morris County, though some outages were reported in the Califon area, he said.

Met-Ed spokesman Marc Troutman said 41 Bangor area customers would be without power until about noon Thursday.
