The victim, 24, from East Stroudsburg, was killed in a crash on Route 33 North at the Interstate 80 interchange in Bartonsville.
A motorcyclist was killed this afternoon in a crash on Route 33 at the Interstate 80 interchange in Bartonsville that involved an Easton man.
Monroe County Coroner Bob Allen told The Pocono Record newspaper the victim was a 24-year-old man from East Stroudsburg. His identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene of the 2:45 p.m. crash.
State police at Swiftwater said the motorcyclist had taken the Exit 302 off-ramp from I-80 East to Route 33 North when he lost control of the 2008 Honda CBR while negotiating a hard right curve, causing the bike to fall on its side.
The motorcycle and driver slid in a westerly direction across the travel lanes of Route 33 North when they were struck by a 2005 Toyota Tundra pickup truck driven by the 50-year-old man from Easton.
Police did not immediately identify the Easton motorist, who was not injured in the crash.
