Polk Township, Monroe County, man kills mother in their home, police say

Christopher Strachn, 21, is accused of killing his mother, Adrienne Strachn, 53, this morning in their home.

A 21-year-old Polk Township man has been charged with killing his mother early this morning at their home, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Christopher Bazil Strachn was arraigned today on one count of criminal homicide for killing his mother, Adrienne D. Strachn, 53, police said.

At 2:49 this morning, state troopers responded to the Strachn residence at 1131 Creek Drive for a report of a domestic incident, police said. The troopers found Adrienne Strachn dead in the home, and they arrested Christopher Strachn, police said. Additional details as to the circumstances surrounding Adrienne Strachn's death were not immediately available.

The Monroe County District Attorney's Office and the Monroe County Coroner's Office are continuing their investigation.
