The organization has completed the best six-month period in its 10-year history.
The Rising Tide Community Loan Fund said today it has completed best six-month period in its 10-year history, lending $311,470 to 10 businesses between July and December.Bethlehem-based Rising Tide, a subsidiary of Community Action Committee of the Lehigh Valley, lends money to businesses in economically needy areas.
The following received loans from Rising Tide in the last six months:
- Concrete Concepts Group Inc., a decorative concrete stamping and asphalt hauling business in Bethlehem, was approved for $75,000;
- Dynamic Sounds Entertainment, a mobile disc-jockey business in Easton, received a loan in the amount of $12,000;
- March Street Burritos LLC was approved for a $35,000 loan to open Don Juan Mex Grill, a new restaurant near Lafayette College in Easton;
- Hush Little Angels LLC, a children’s day care center in Allentown, was approved for $50,300;
- Total Image Salon in Bethlehem was approved for $3,000;
- Beauty Alibi LLC in Bethlehem, whose owner developed and distributes her own line of makeup, was approved for $30,000;
- Paula’s Kitchen LLC, a catering business in Bethlehem, was approved for $10,000;
- Ice Pro Refrigeration, a Nazareth business that repairs and replaces refrigeration equipment, was approved for $30,000;
- Rising Star Learning Center LLC, a children’s day care center in Bethlehem Township, Pa., was approved for $31,170;
- Creamery on Main, an ice cream and sandwich shop in Emmaus, was approved for $35,000.
The organization, which works with entrepreneurs unable to secure traditional loans, says six loans have been written off as uncollectible, while 42 have been paid in full.
