Giant Food Stores recall dog food

Three canine meals are affected, according to the voluntary recall notice.

Some Pedigree dog dinners may contain small pieces of blue plastic, according to a recall notice issued by Giant Food Stores.

No injuries or illness have been reported linked to the Weight Management Meat Ground Beef and Liver dinner sold at Giant, but the store recommends discarding the product.

Pedigree's website lists two other affected meals: Healthy Weight Premium Ground Entree in Meaty Juices and Weight Management Meaty Ground Dinner Chicken and Rice Dinner in Meaty Juices.

Customers with a purchase receipt for the beef and liver dinner can receive a full refund at Giant Food Stores and Martin's Food Markets locations, the notice says.
