Police say Brett Truskin, 22, was intoxicated when he fatally struck Gregory Loper, 49, on Friday evening in the city's Kensington neighborhood. Loper was pronounced dead at a hospital.
Authorities say it was the second time Truskin drove drunk in less than a day. The Ivyland, Bucks County, man was charged with DUI after being stopped late Thursday. He was arraigned and released without bail after midnight.
Truskin is being held on $475,000 bail. Online court records do not list an attorney for him.
