A 23-year-old Harborcreek, Pa., man was reportedly killed in Afghanistan on Thursday.
The Erie Times-News reports that Bryan Bell served in the U.S. Air Force's Explosive Ordnance Disposal division.
A family spokesman says Bell's parents, Rick Bell and Donna Aldrich, of Harborcreek, received notice of their son's death on Thursday.
Bell joined the Air Force in 2006. The paper reports that he had been serving in Afghanistan since the beginning of November.
Bell's wife, Alaina, who lives in Louisiana where he was stationed before going overseas, is currently traveling to Erie.
