Bethlehem man threatened to 'kill everyone' in his mother's house, police say

A police officer fired a Taser at the man, but missed, according to police documents.

A Bethlehem man was arrested Monday and charged with making terroristic threats and criminal mischief after allegedly threatening to "kill everyone" in his mother's house

Rosalina Andino called 911 from the top floor of her home, as Luis Lopez Andino, 32, of 423 Wyandotte Street, raged in his mother's home in the 1300 block of Hilton Street, breaking a glass table and doing more than $500 worth of damage, according to a police affidavit.

When police arrived around 2:30 p.m., Lopez Andino was in the kitchen yelling and refusing to comply with police commands, according to the affidavit. An officer fired a Taser at Lopez Andino and while the Taser missed, Lopez Andino then began cooperating, police documents said.

Lopez Andino has a previous record of domestic abuse. In March 2009, he ended up in jail after a fight with his girlfriend. Then, at a preliminary hearing in June that same year, Lopez Andino allegedly smuggled a knife into the district court and removed it during the hearing.
