The impact seems worse east of the Delaware River, but the Slate Belt had snow on the roads.

Eastern Warren County is getting the snowstorm we didn't get on Wednesday.

The same storm that missed us has spun back around and merged with another disturbance, according to meteorologist Rob Reale of WeatherWorks in Hackettstown. He said at 6 o'clock there were 4 inches of snow on the ground there and it was sticking to untreated roads. Another 2 to 3 inches is expected, he said.

The accumulation line appears to be the Pennsylvania-New Jersey line, he said, with about an inch of snow on the grass in Easton, but it's not sticking to the streets or sidewalks.

The snow is expected to fall throughout the morning in the Lehigh Valley and could last into the afternoon in northwest New Jersey, Reale said. But accumulation should end about 10 o'clock because the March sun will raise the temperatures, which was about freezing at 6 o'clock throughout the region, he said.

New Jersey State Police at Hope reported slush on side streets but major routes were open and wet at 6:20. There were no storm-related incidents at that hour.

Some  Warren County and Hunterdon County school districts are having delayed opening. Slate Belt schools began reporting delays soon after, including Pen Argyl with a two-hour delay.

Hackettstown at 5:30 announced a 90-minute delay, but it later announced school would be closed today. Keep up with today's delays here.

A police officer in Pen Argyl said at 6:30 there isn't a lot of accumulation but the streets are "all white" and quite slick. Road crews are working to improve conditions, he said. As for crashes, he said, "Not yet. Let's hope we don't get any."
